Making Chocolate From Tree to Bar

I think it would be really cool to grow Cocoa trees. I had no idea what was involved in the process! I really appreciate all that goes into making wonderful dark chocolate. 

Can you buy cocoa trees?

I always thought the big fruits were the beans. And fermentation, I've never heard of that being part of cocoa production. 🙂

Also, I didn't realize it was so messy.

This looks so fun! I have just bought a chocolate making workshop at R&M Fine Chocolate, Manchester as apart of his Christmas present, I wonder if they'll have their own trees

#1. I believe you can buy cocoa trees but would need to live near the equator to grow them. I had absolutely no idea cocoa beans were fermented and had no idea it was so messy!
#2. A chocolate workshop sounds intriging! Tell me more!
